El-Far’s Patented Vibration Perimeter Fence Sensor Technology
El-Far’s technology recognizes reflected waves on the sensor line, a twin pair cable that extends the length of the perimeter. Inertial sensors are serially connected along the sensor line which is attached to the existing barrier or fence. The perimeter control unit transmits electric pulses along the sensor line. Any vibration at the fence is detected by the system as a reflected wave and an ‘event’ is triggered. The time between the transmission and the reflected wave will determine the location of the event within a +/- 10m resolution.

Using complex algorithms, the system is able to differentiate between “real” and “false” alarm events, keeping false alarm rates to a bare minimum.
